COURSE MAP – STEP BY STEP

Total distance per lap – Swim 835m, Run 3080m

  • Swim 160m across channel to Miles Island
  • Run 400m to your right on Miles Island and turn around marker
  • Run 300m back to crossing point
  • Swim 80m across to sand bank
  • Run 60m around marker on sand bank
  • Swim 140m across channel to jetty
  • Run 130m on jetty back to race start
  • Swim 160m back across channel to Miles Island
  • Run 690m along Miles Island
  • Swim 180m across channel to Leon Island
  • Run 550m around Leon Island
  • Swim 115m across channel to mainland
  • Run 950m along foreshore returning to Memorial Drive start/finish area and tag your team members

  • Individual entry Female (2 laps each)
  • Individual entry male (2 laps each)
  • Team entry female (2 females – Complete 1 lap each together as a pair – a total of 1 lap)
  • Team entry male (2 males – Complete 1 lap each together as a pair – a total of 1 lap)
  • Team entry mixed (1 female 1 male – Complete 1 lap each together as a pair – a total of 1 lap)
  • ‘Cheat category’ (pairs – Complete 1 lap each together)

Swim aids that can be used include (wetsuit, flippers, noodles, inflatable boat, lilo).

Race Rules
  • All competitors must wear footwear – joggers or water shoes
  • All competitors must wear a swim cap whilst swimming
  • Teams will complete (1 lap each together as a pair) a total of 1 lap
  • Individuals will complete (2 laps each) total of 2 laps
  • Cheat category will complete (1 lap each together as a pair) total of 1 lap
